Text reads: “A few days ago in Los Angelos there was a second protest outside the WiSpa, where a small brave group formed to protest the inclusion of male bodied person inside the spa, where he was boldly displaying his male anatomy in an area where women were undressed. We used to know that flashing your penis in front of women who didn’t want to see it was an assault, and men who did this were arrested and rightfully shamed. Now, such behavior is considered a civil right.
The protest got ugly, quickly, with police in riot gear, rubber bullets, punks in black threatening women, tear gas, the whole nine yards. Quite a few people got arrested.
We are supposed to have freedom of speech and assembly in this country, but sadly that is quickly disappearing for all practical purposes and anyone standing up for women and children is quickly and viciously attacked by those who center men’s feelings over the rights of women and children.
Contrast that to what happened today in Glasgow, Scotland, where a large group of women (and a few good men) gathered to say that women “won’t wheesht”, which translates to “women are not going to shut up”. This event was not a secret, these women were allowed to assemble peacefully in support of Marion Miller, who is in legal trouble after tweeting a picture of suffragette ribbons.
We can do better than this. We NEED to do better than this. To all my sisters across the pond, and my sisters everywhere, my love and solidarity lie with you forever. I take a bow to you women in the place now known as Terf Island.”
